Improvements and Fixes:

• Enhanced Update Check:
  • Added 5-second connection and read timeouts to Spigot API connections. This prevents the server from hanging unnecessarily if the API response is slow.
  • Added User-Agent header to API requests.
  • Ensured network streams (InputStream, Scanner) are properly closed in all cases (try-catch-finally block) to prevent resource leaks.
• Smart Admin Notification: If a player with admin permissions joins before the update check is complete, the notification is no longer missed; it is retried after a short delay.
