You also need to replace your placeholders from the brackets {} to percentage signs %%, which aligns with the official PlaceholderAPI placeholders.

This version adds back parsing of system messages using ProtocolLib. You can now parse more than just the chat format. If you want to add placeholders to the motd.txt file in EssentialsX, you now can and the plugin will display them. This update requires ProtocolLib on top of PlaceholderAPI.
