A new FriendlyFire LHP Addon update is here! 🚀 Version 1.1.1 focuses on cleaner startup handling, better language support, configurable sounds, update notifications, and improved compatibility with LifeHeartsPro teams.

✨ What’s New?

🔊 New Sound System

FriendlyFire LHP Addon now includes a new configurable sound system.

A new file has been added:

sounds.yml

This file controls the small feedback sounds used by the addon.

You can now customize sounds for:

✅ Help messages ✅ Usage messages ✅ No-permission messages ✅ Reload success ✅ Disabled features ✅ Team not found ✅ Team info ✅ Friendly fire enabled ✅ Friendly fire disabled ✅ Blocked teammate damage ✅ Update notifications

Every sound can be enabled, disabled, changed, or adjusted.

⚙️ New sounds.yml File

The new sound file gives server owners more control over how the addon feels in-game.

Each sound supports:

enabled — enable or disable the sound sound — Bukkit/Paper sound name volume — sound volume pitch — sound pitch

There is also a master switch:

sounds.enabled

This makes it easy to fully disable addon sounds if needed.

🌍 Improved Language System

The language system has been improved and cleaned up.

Old language files:

en_EN de_DE

New language files:

en_us de_eu

New languages were also added:

🇺🇸 en_us — English 🇩🇪 de_eu — German 🇪🇸 es_es — Spanish 🇫🇷 fr_fr — French

This makes the addon easier to use on international servers and keeps it consistent with the newer LifeHeartsPro language format.

💬 Cleaner Messages

Several messages have been cleaned up and improved.

This includes:

✅ Better reload messages ✅ Better help messages ✅ Better team command descriptions ✅ Cleaner friendly-fire blocked messages ✅ More accurate victim feedback ✅ Cleaner log messages

The addon now feels more polished and more consistent with LifeHeartsPro.

🔔 New Update Checker

FriendlyFire LHP Addon now includes an optional update checker.

New config section:

update-checker.enabled

If enabled, admins can receive update notifications when a newer version is available.

New permission:

friendlyfire.update.notify

The update checker is disabled by default, so server owners can decide if they want update notifications or not.

🧩 Better LifeHeartsPro Integration

The addon’s LifeHeartsPro handling has been cleaned up.

FriendlyFire LHP Addon still makes sure LifeHeartsPro is configured correctly so the addon can control friendly fire per team.

Improved areas include:

🛡️ Improved Combat Feedback

Friendly-fire protection feedback has been improved.

The addon can now give cleaner feedback when teammate damage is blocked, including separate feedback for:

⚔️ The attacker 🛡️ The victim

This makes it easier for players to understand why damage was blocked.

This update also includes several internal fixes and cleanup changes.
