First public build.
Fells a whole tree from the log standing on the ground, topples it as falling blocks and replants it. Cut a branch or the middle of a trunk and it behaves exactly like vanilla.
Reads Minecraft's own block tags instead of keeping a list of wood types, so a new tree works the day Mojang ships it. Poplar, new in 26.3, needed no code.
Handles the awkward ones
- Mangroves standing on roots, and huge red and brown mushrooms, which Minecraft does not count as trees at all
- Vines, cocoa pods, shelf mushrooms and nether wart crowns come down with it
- All four saplings go back for dark oak and pale oak
- A felled tree leaves its neighbours' canopies alone
Safe by default
- Every block is checked through a real
BlockBreakEvent, so GriefPrevention, WorldGuard and friends stay in charge - Logs a player placed by hand are remembered and refused, so a stacked-up fake tree cannot be farmed
Tested by hand across oak, dark oak, jungle, mangrove, poplar, nether fungi and huge mushrooms. Requires Paper 1.26.3. Does not work on Folia.
