A fork of GriefPrevention that adds 3D subdivisions
GriefPrevention3D v18.3.11
Wiki: https://github.com/castledking/GriefPrevention3D/wiki
Overview
New permission: griefprevention.maxclaims.<amount> sets how many claims a player (or a whole
rank) may own, so the claim-count limit no longer has to be one number for the entire server.
/lp group default permission set griefprevention.maxclaims.3 true
/lp group vip permission set griefprevention.maxclaims.10 true
How it works
Until now the only controls were the global Claims.MaximumNumberOfClaimsPerPlayer config value and
the all-or-nothing griefprevention.overrideclaimcountlimit bypass, which only gave two tiers:
"limited" and "unlimited".
When a player starts a new claim, GP3D now resolves their limit like this:
griefprevention.overrideclaimcountlimit→ no limit (unchanged).- Otherwise, the highest
griefprevention.maxclaims.<amount>node the player holds is their limit. Because the highest node wins, ranks that inherit from each other just work — a VIP who also inheritsmaxclaims.3from the default group gets 10. - Otherwise, the configured
Claims.MaximumNumberOfClaimsPerPlayerapplies (0= unlimited).
Details:
- A permission limit applies even when the config value is
0, and it can raise or lower a player's limit relative to the config. - Negated nodes, wildcards (
griefprevention.maxclaims.*), and zero/negative amounts are ignored. Useoverrideclaimcountlimitfor unlimited claims. - The limit counts top-level claims the player owns; subdivisions don't count.
- It is enforced everywhere a claim can be started:
/claim create, the golden shovel, and shaped claim mode.
The lookup reads the player's effective permissions, so it works with LuckPerms and any other permission plugin, and on every supported Bukkit-family server back to 1.8.8.
Also in this release
- New regression tests covering admin-claim
/claim pvptoggles (staff can toggle admin claims and their subdivisions; regular players are still denied). - Wiki refresh: shaped subdivisions, shaped claim cuts, administrative subdivisions, PvP/PvE combat trust, and the new claim-count permission are now documented.
Upgrade notes
No configuration or storage changes. Servers that don't grant any griefprevention.maxclaims.*
nodes behave exactly as before. The experimental Fabric build still uses the config limit and the
override permission only. Drop-in replacement for v18.3.10.
