Industrial, Nuclear and Automation Extensive Mechanics Gamemode

Report CoreFactory?

CoreFactory

Research. Refine. Rule.

Build power grids, pipe oil and water, automate whole production lines, and then aim artillery at the other side of the map. CoreFactory turns Paper into a factory game with a long tech tree and the strongest explosives you have ever seen on a server.

Why you'll love it

  • Progression that matters. Research unlocks machines, items and explosives step by step. Every tier is a goal.
  • Real automation. Belts, pickers, splitters and crafters move items. Build a line once, let it run.
  • Explosives with personality. 42 TNT types, from a handheld charge to nuclear warheads, each with its own effect.
  • A full custom look. A generated resource pack gives every item, machine and blast its own texture.
  • Plays nicely with your server. WorldGuard regions and GriefPrevention claims are respected.

What's inside

Area What you get
Explosives 42 TNT types: fragmentation, incendiary, chain reaction, the 4D bomb, and nuclear warheads with a PIN lock.
Power Pylons up to level V, generators (charcoal, petroleum, diesel, nuclear, solar, wind), accumulators up to level V.
Oil and water Petroleum drills, tubes, a crude oil refinery that makes diesel, water pumps up to level V, pipes and splitters.

Requirements

Requirement Details
Server Paper 26.3 (built and tested). Purpur 26.3 is supported in principle but not yet verified in game.
Java Java 25
World editing WorldEdit or FastAsyncWorldEdit. Either one. Required.
Resource pack host A public URL that serves the CoreFactory resource pack zip. See below.
Optional WorldGuard, GriefPrevention, ResourcePackManager

The resource pack

CoreFactory's textures ship in a zip that players download when they join. You need to host that zip somewhere players can reach over HTTP, such as your own web server, a file host, or a CDN. Then point your server at it in server.properties:

resource-pack=https://your-host.example/CoreFactory-ResourcePack.zip
resource-pack-sha1=<sha1 of the zip>

A very well recommended and functional way to host your resource pack is by using ResourcePackManager plugin!

Install ResourcePackManager, and add the following file inside the ResourcePackManager/compatible_plugins/ folder: corefactory.yml And paste inside it the following contents:

isEnabled: true
pluginName: CoreFactory
zips: true
localPath: CoreFactory/pack/pack.zip
cluster: false

Then add '- CoreFactory' into the priorityOrder from ResourcePackmanager's config.yml

The full steps for regular hosting and resource pack info are in the resource pack guide.

Install in three steps

  1. Download CoreFactory-Paper-1.0.0.jar and drop it in plugins/.
  2. Install WorldEdit or FastAsyncWorldEdit, then start the server once.
  3. Host the resource pack zip and set its URL, as above. Restart.

Then run /cf gui in game. Start with /cf book for the guide.

A taste of the tech tree

Pylons and power -> Oil and water -> Lab machines -> Automation
        | |
Artillery <- Command Center <- Turrets <- Railgun

Every node takes research packs. Packs come from the research console, and deeper nodes need rarer packs. Plan your base, then unlock what you need.
