Player-Visible Changes
- NPCs now swim through normal water paths instead of building cobble platforms into lakes, streams, or underwater routes.
- NPCs now use true underwater follow movement, including descending and ascending through flooded caves instead of staying at the water surface.
- NPCs avoid lava, fire, magma blocks, and campfires during traversal assist decisions.
Admin And Compatibility Notes
- Temporary cobble bridges now place only into dry air-like gaps; water and hazard blocks are never replaced by bridge material.
- Existing journaled temporary bridges that originally replaced water are treated as unsafe and are queued for normal cleanup.
- Long/deep water crossings still use the existing boat behavior; short water uses swim movement first.
- Added safe defaults for
behavior.water-navigation.aquatic-follow-enabled,vertical-swim-step-blocks, andmax-depth-search-blocks; existing configs inherit the defaults.
