Physical item-based economy with signed currency, banking, Vault and Shopkeepers support.
BagOfGold
BagOfGold turns your server economy into physical items that players can see, carry, drop, collect, trade and store.
Money can remain in a player's inventory, be deposited in a BagOfGold bank or be exposed to other plugins through Vault.

Important migration notice
Current BagOfGold releases use signed metadata to validate physical money.
Physical currency created by older, unsigned releases must not be assumed to be valid currency after updating. Automatic conversion of old physical items is intentionally avoided because old items may have been copied or modified.
Before migrating an existing economy:
- Back up the server, plugin data and databases.
- Review player and bank balances.
- Remove or invalidate legacy physical money.
- Reissue verified balances under administrator control.
This warning concerns legacy physical items. Stored balances should still be backed up and verified as part of the migration.
Physical currency and banks
Players can carry money as physical bags or deposit it into a BagOfGold bank. Because money exists as an item, it can normally be dropped or lost like other inventory contents unless another plugin protects it.
Bank signs and optional Citizens banker NPCs provide access to stored balances.
Shopkeepers integration
BagOfGold supports physical-currency prices in Shopkeepers without requiring an administrator to create an exact real-money bag for every price.
An operator with the bagofgold.shopkeepers.template permission can:
- Rename a piece of paper to an exact value such as
bagofgold 3000. - Place the paper in a Shopkeeper trade editor.
- Save the trade.
BagOfGold replaces the paper with a signed price template bound to that Shopkeeper. The template is not real currency and cannot be deposited or used to increase a player's balance.
The paper stack size acts as a multiplier. For example:
- One paper named
bagofgold 200creates a price of200. - Two papers named
bagofgold 200create a total price of400.
During a purchase, BagOfGold withdraws the exact amount from the buyer's physical money. Larger bags can be split and valid change is returned.
Player trading Shopkeepers receive a newly signed money bag for the completed payment.
