# 🎬 ServerEvent: The Ultimate Cinematic & Scripting Engine ServerEvent is a lightweight, highly optimized YAML scripting engine that empowers server owners to create AAA-quality cinematic events, custom RPG skills, and in-world animations using vanilla commands or commands from any third-party plugins. No Java coding or complex addons required! Whether you want to create a massive cinematic Boss Spawn, a custom "Fireball" magic spell with particle trails, or an interactive 3D Holographic Crate using your existing server plugins, ServerEvent gives you the tools to act as the director of your server. ⭐ Key Features ⏱️ Precise Tick Delays: The core of the plugin. Use [WAIT] to create frame-by-frame animations, suspenseful timers, or step-by-step cutscenes. 🪄 Create Custom RPG Skills: Combine vanilla commands (/execute, /particle) or any third-party plugin commands with delays to create homing projectiles, AoE damage zones, and magical abilities. 🔗 Seamless Plugin Integration: Since ServerEvent executes commands through the console, you can easily automate actions from plugins like Essentials, MythicMobs, Vault, or WorldGuard inside your scenarios! 🎉 Global Server Events: Script interactive Airdrops, Boss arenas, or weather-changing anomalies with global sound broadcasts and chat messages. 📦 3D In-World Animations: Move entities frame-by-frame to create floating, spinning, and transforming Lootboxes without any UI/GUI plugins. ⚡ Extremely Lightweight: Commands are queued asynchronously and executed with perfect precision. Minimal impact on server performance. ✅ Modern 1.21+ Support: Fully compatible with the newest NBT syntax, block_display entities, and new particles (gust, emitter). 📖 How It Works (The Syntax) ServerEvent acts as a sequencer. It reads your config.yml from top to bottom and executes instructions step-by-step. It supports placeholders like %player% out of the box! Available Actions: ``` [CONSOLE] - Executes ANY command (vanilla or from other plugins) from the console perfectly aimed at/for the player. [WAIT] - Pauses the scenario (20 ticks = 1 second). Perfect for animations! [SOUND] - Plays a sound for the player. [MSG] - Sends a private formatted message to the player. [BROADCAST] - Sends a message to the entire server. [FIREWORK] - Spawns a firework at the player's location. ``` 🥷 Example: Creating a "Ninja Vanish" RPG Skill Look how easy it is to create a complex custom ability in just a few lines of YAML! In this scenario, the player throws a smoke bomb, becomes invisible with a speed boost for 5 seconds, and then reappears with an enderman teleport effect. YAML ``` scenarios: ninja_vanish: - "[MSG] &8&l[Ninja] &7Shadow Arts... Vanishing!" - "[SOUND] ENTITY_WITCH_THROW 1.0 1.0" - "[WAIT] 5" # Create a massive double smoke cloud explosion - "[SOUND] ENTITY_GENERIC_EXPLODE 1.0 1.5" - "[CONSOLE] minecraft:execute at %player% run particle campfire_cosy_smoke ~ ~1 ~ 1.5 1.5 1.5 0.05 200" - "[CONSOLE] minecraft:execute at %player% run particle large_smoke ~ ~1 ~ 2 2 2 0.1 100" # Grant Invisibility and Speed for 5 seconds - "[CONSOLE] minecraft:effect give %player% invisibility 5 1 true" - "[CONSOLE] minecraft:effect give %player% speed 5 2 true" # Wait 5 seconds (100 ticks) for the effects to wear off - "[WAIT] 100" # Epic reappearance with reverse portal particles - "[SOUND] ENTITY_ENDERMAN_TELEPORT 1.0 1.2" - "[CONSOLE] minecraft:execute at %player% run particle reverse_portal ~ ~1 ~ 1 1 1 0.1 100" - "[MSG] &8&l[Ninja] &7The shadows recede." ``` 💻 Commands & Permissions /sevent play player — Executes a scenario for a specific player. /sevent reload — Reloads the configuration files.
