> 🇬🇧 **Challenges** is an independent, free plugin developed by the **[cyperia.net](https://cyperia.net)** team. > It is **not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to BastiGHG** or any of his videos, and it is not the plugin used in them. > > 🏠 This is the official Challenges plugin of the **[cyperia.net](https://cyperia.net)** Minecraft server. ## 🇬🇧 English Everything is set up in one in-game menu. No config files to edit, no restarts, no wiki required. Open `/challenges`, click what you want, start the timer. ### New in 3.0 - **Reworked menus.** Settings are sorted into categories, every hover tells you what a click does, and the main menu shows what is enabled, new and updated. - **Global search.** `/search` finds every challenge, setting, goal and sub setting. - **Reworked randomizers.** Blocks, recipes and mobs are swapped with each other, so every item stays obtainable, and `/randomizer` shows you how to get any item. - **Timer countdown**, shown in the boss bar. - **Lots of new challenges**, from Interval = Quiz Question and Void World to a whole row of Random Item and Random Mob challenges. The full list is in the [changelog](https://modrinth.com/plugin/challengesplugin/changelog). ### Quick start 1. Drop the jar into your server's `plugins/` folder and start the server. 2. Give yourself operator rights from the console with `op `, then rejoin. 3. Type `/challenges` (or `/c`) to open the menu, or `/search` to jump straight to something. 4. Choose your challenges and goal, then start the timer with `/start`. > 💡 Your hotbar is filled with shortcut items when you join. They open the menu, control the timer and show you around, so you never need to memorise a command. ### Challenges All of them stack, and all of them are switched on and off live without a restart. | Category | What you're in for | |---|---| | **World Change** | Bedrock walls, tsunamis, anvil rain, chunks that crumble, Snake, the floor is lava | | **Randomizer** | Blocks, crafting recipes, mob loot and your hotbar, all shuffled | | **Entities** | Mobs that multiply, turn invisible, turn to stone when you look them in the eyes, or spawn from every new chunk | | **Damage** | Take damage for walking, sneaking, jumping, breaking blocks or earning advancements | | **Movement** | Never stop running, traffic light, leave dirt and die, a random stack every 500 blocks | | **Inventory** | Items that vanish as you walk, refuse to duplicate, or go missing and have to be guessed | | **Effects** | Random effects tied to chunks, blocks, mobs or damage | | **Force** | Reach a height, block, mob, item or biome in time, or die | | **World Generator** | Play in a world that generates differently, starting with Void World | | **Extra World** | Water MLG and Jump and Run interludes in a separate world | | **Limited Time** | A countdown per biome or per height level | | **Miscellaneous** | No eating, one durability, no trading, quiz questions, zero hearts | ### Goals A goal decides when the run ends and who won. Exactly one is active at a time, and switching is a single click. **Kill Entity** covers the Ender Dragon, Wither, Warden, Elder Guardian, Iron Golem, Snow Golem, All Bosses, All Mobs and All Monsters. **Score Points** counts the most items, blocks mined, ores, emeralds, XP, food or death types. **Fastest Time** has races like Find Elytra, Eat Cake, Finish Raid and several collection goals. In the **Force Battles** everyone races through their own random targets, from items and mobs to biomes and advancements, and the Extreme Force Battle mixes them all. Last Man Standing and All Items round things off. `/goal` shows every entry of the current goal and who got it. ### Custom challenges Build your own challenge without writing a single line of code: pick a trigger, pick an action, done. Triggers react to things like jumping, sneaking, breaking a block, taking damage, entering a chunk or crafting an item. Actions range from spawning entities and applying effects to freezing players, clearing inventories, moving the world border or handing out a challenge penalty. Give it a name, colored with `&` codes if you like, and a display item, and it appears in the menu right next to the built-in ones. ### Settings Not every rule has to make the game harder. Settings are grouped into Difficulty, Consequences, Utility, Messages, Players, Limitations, Items & Blocks and Damage: CutClean, Backpack, Keep Inventory, Shared Health, Max Health, Damage Multiplier, Timber, Soup Healing, 1.8 PvP, No Hit Delay, Player Glow, Locator Bar, Hardcore Hearts and plenty more are one click away. Items & Blocks and Damage let you take single items out of the game or turn off single damage causes. ### Timer The timer counts up or down, runs a countdown in the boss bar, and can be paused, resumed or set from the menu or by command. Timer state, challenge state and your whole configuration survive restarts and crashes. The timer colors are yours to pick in `config.yml`. ### Beta challenges Some challenges are still in beta. You see them in the menu with a Beta tag, but they are not fully tested yet and some of them need regular updates, so for now they can only be played on **[cyperia.net](https://cyperia.net)**. Content creators can ask us for the beta version of the plugin to run on their own server. ### Storage Everything is saved in the plugin folder out of the box, with no setup. If you run more than one server, switch to MySQL or MongoDB in `config.yml` so settings and custom challenges follow your players across the whole network. --- ## 🇩🇪 Deutsch Alles läuft über ein einziges Ingame-Menü. Keine Configs, keine Neustarts, kein Wiki. Dazu kommen Last Man Standing und Alle Items. --- ## 🧩 Compatibility · Kompatibilität | | | |---|---| | **Minecraft** | 26.3 | | **Server software** | Paper and Paper forks such as Purpur. Spigot is no longer supported | | **Optional soft-depends** | ProtocolLib, CloudNet-Bridge, SpawneryAgent | | **Proxies** | Works behind BungeeCord and Velocity, the plugin runs on the backend server | | **Languages** | English and German included, and you can edit every text in the `messages` folder | On another Minecraft version the plugin still starts, but it warns in the console and in chat, and we do not support it there.
