MOTD is a simple, lightweight and cross-platform plugin that lets you customize your Minecraft server list with custom text, colors, player counts and Minecraft textures.

Why MOTD?

Configuring server list MOTDs can be annoying, especially on proxy platforms where formatting and compatibility can vary.

MOTD provides a consistent configuration across supported platforms, making it easier to customize your server list without dealing with separate configurations for every platform.

Minecraft versions:

• Minecraft 1.20 and older: Supported.
• Minecraft 1.20–1.21: Not fully tested.
• Newer versions: Compatibility depends on the platform and version.

Note: Minecraft sprites require a client running Minecraft 1.21.9 or newer. Plain Spigot/Bukkit uses fallback text because its API does not support sprite rendering.

Older features such as external fake players and their exact compatibility have not been independently reverified for the latest version.
