JavaChats

JavaChats is a Paper chat and moderation plugin for servers that need separate local and global chat, private messages, mentions, and configurable chat protection.

AI moderation

JavaChats can check chat messages through Mistral or Groq when AI moderation is enabled. The provider, model, endpoint, timeout, cooldown, moderation mode, punishment probability, and failure policy are configurable.

AI rules are stored in AIRULES.yml. Moderation examples and punishment commands are stored in AIHELPER.yml. When enabled, messages are sent to the selected provider for moderation.

Commands

• /javachats reload - reload the active configuration and messages
• /msg <player> <message> - send a private message
• /tell <player> <message> - alias for /msg
• /w <player> <message> - alias for /msg
• /aihelper add <plus|minus> <message> - add an example for AI moderation

Permissions

• javachats.admin - reload JavaChats and manage AI moderation examples. Default: OP.
• javachats.msg - use private messages. Default: true.
• javachats.local.view - view local chat. Default: true.
• javachats.local.send - send messages to local chat. Default: true.
• javachats.global.view - view global chat. Default: true.
• javachats.global.send - send messages to global chat. Default: true.

Compatibility

• Paper 1.16.5-26.2
• Java 16 for Paper 1.16.5. Newer Paper versions require the Java version specified by the server.
• No required dependencies
• LuckPerms is optional

Installation

1. Download JavaChats-1.0.jar.
2. Put it in the server's plugins folder.
3. Restart the server.
4. Set locale: en or locale: ru in plugins/JavaChats/config.yml.
5. Edit the active files in plugins/JavaChats/temp/{locale}/.

The locale folder contains config.yml, message.yml, AIHELPER.yml, and AIRULES.yml. Do not commit or share API keys.
