HeroPets transforms standard Minecraft animals into fully interactive, leveling RPG companions. Adopt baby animals, manage their vitals, store them digitally in the "Pet PC," and unlock powerful buffs and cosmetics as they level up. Built with modern UI menus, robust data saving, server-safe entity management, and an automated Daycare system, HeroPets is the perfect companion plugin for Survival, RPG, and Skyblock servers.

✨ Core Features

🍼 Advanced Care & Vitals System

Your pets are alive! They have custom NBT-tracked vitals that must be maintained:

• Happiness: Play with your pet using a Stick to keep them happy (+20%). If they drop below 30%, they will whine and notify you!
• Hunger: Feed them Apples, Carrots, or Sweet Berries (+20%).
• Thirst: Give them a Water Bucket to hydrate them (+30%, returns an empty bucket).
• Faint System: By default, pets don't die. If they lose all their HP, they "faint" and must be revived using a Golden Carrot. (Hardcore permadeath mode is available in the config!)

🏡 Pet Daycare System

Going on a long, dangerous mining trip? Leave your pets at home with a professional!

• Daycare Wand: Type /hp wand and select the corners of a room to establish a safe zone.
• The Caretaker: Type /hp petcare to summon an invulnerable NPC Villager to watch over your pets.
• Dynamic Enclosures: Pets left in a Daycare naturally regenerate vitals and gain passive XP. Build a larger enclosure (10x10+) to grant your pets faster passive progression!
• Invisible Fence: Pets told to "Stay" inside a Daycare are safely locked in. If they get pushed out by water or other mobs, they magically teleport back to the Caretaker.

⚔️ RPG Progression & Leveling

Active pets gain passive XP (2 XP per minute) as long as all their vitals are kept above 50%.

• Max HP Boost: Every time a pet levels up, they gain an extra heart of Max HP.
• Level 10: Unlocks a magical Sparkle Trail (End Rod particles).
• Level 20: Unlocks a permanent Glowing Aura visible through walls.
• Level 30: Unlocks the ability to Mount & Ride your pet like a majestic steed!

🔮 Happiness Auras

If you take great care of your pet and keep their Happiness above 80%, they will grant you a continuous potion buff based on their species!

• Pigs give Haste, Cows give Resistance, Sheep give Regeneration, Wolves give Strength, etc.
• Fully customizable in the config.yml!

🎒 Universal Shared Backpack

Shift-Right-Clicking any of your pets with a Chest permanently unlocks the Universal Backpack. This acts as a private Ender Chest shared across all your active and stored pets, accessible directly from the Pet GUI.

🖥️ The Pet PC & Multi-Pet Management

• The Pet PC: Type /hp pc to open the digital storage system. Safely digitize your active pets into the server's data file, allowing you to swap between multiple companions instantly.
• Smart UI Menus: Type /hp menu to view all your active pets as interactive Spawn Eggs. Click a pet to open its specific Control Panel.
• Single Follower Rule: You can have multiple pets spawned, but only one can follow you at a time. The plugin intelligently manages pathfinding to keep your other pets safely staying in place.
• Piggyback Riding: Sneak and Right-Click your pet with an empty hand to carry them on your shoulders!

🛡️ Built-In Safety Protocols

• Auto-Storage: If a player disconnects, all of their active pets are automatically swept into their Pet PC to keep them safe from mobs and chunk unloads.
• Teleport Safety: Pets will refuse to teleport to you (/hp tpme) if you are swimming in lava or if hostile monsters are nearby.

🎮 Getting Started

1. Find a Baby Animal: You cannot adopt fully-grown adults! You must breed animals or find wild babies to begin.
2. Adopt a Pet: Hold a Lead and Right-Click the baby animal.
3. Name Your Pet: Open the menu, click "Rename", and seamlessly type their new name in chat.
4. Care for Them: Use Sticks, Apples, and Water Buckets to keep their stats high, or build them a Daycare!
5. Unlock Storage: Shift + Right-Click your pet with a Chest to unlock the Universal Backpack.
