NiosAuction

NiosAuction — Public Beta

An inventory-based auction house for Paper and Purpur 1.21.11.

Requirements

• Paper/Purpur 1.21.11; other versions have not been tested.
• Java 21 or newer, subject to your server's Java requirement.
• Vault and an enabled Vault-compatible economy provider.
• A Vault permission provider is optional for group-based limits. Numeric permission limits work independently.
• NiosCore is not required.

Features

• A dark gray and gold menu with five categories and 36 listings per page.
• Search and sorting by newest, lowest price, highest price or ending soon.
• Sell the entire item stack in your main hand at a total price.
• Confirmation before purchases and listing removal.
• Shift + Right Click your listing to change its price, renew it or remove it.
• Private price/search input; type cancel to stop. Input times out after 60 seconds.
• Free renewal resets the remaining time to the configured listing duration. It never shortens the existing expiry; expired listings cannot be renewed.
• Purchases go directly into inventory when the entire stack fits; otherwise they wait in the collection box.
• Expired and cancelled items are returned to the owner's collection box.
• Sellers can receive payment while offline.
• Configurable prices, listing duration, limits, listing fee, sales tax and banned items.
• Full item data is retained, including names, enchantments and custom item metadata.
• SQLite journal, transaction states and administrative review tools. Transactions with uncertain external effects are held for review instead of automatically repeated.
• A price change invalidates an older purchase confirmation before charging the buyer.

Installation

1. Stop your server and back up the plugins folder.
2. Remove conflicting auction plugins that register /ah.
3. Install Vault and a supported economy provider.
4. Put NiosAuction-1.1.0-beta.1.jar in plugins/ and start the server.
5. Configure plugins/NiosAuction/config.yml. Use /ahadmin reload for configuration changes.

Keep the data folder and auction.db when updating the plugin. Never hot-reload the JAR.

Player commands

/auctionhouse is an alias for /ah. Example: holding 64 diamonds and running /ah sell 5000 lists all 64 for a total of 5,000.

Administrator commands

Resolution decisions:

Review the inventory/economy history before resolving a held transaction. These decisions affect whether items or money may be delivered again.

Permissions

The highest configured group limit or granted numeric limit applies.

Building

Use JDK 21+ and Maven: mvn clean package. The shaded JAR is created at target/NiosAuction.jar; SQLite's native resources and notices are included.

Beta status

Local compilation, real SQLite transaction tests, ownership checks, stale-price rejection, concurrent edit/purchase checks, pagination and simulated inventory-click tests pass. A clean live Paper/Purpur startup and in-game visual test remain to be performed before publication.
