NoWorldFlood
NoWorldFlood is a lightweight Paper plugin that helps prevent world flooding caused by piston machines moving waterlogged blocks.
Some flying machines and piston contraptions can repeatedly move waterlogged blocks in ways that duplicate or spread water far beyond the intended area. NoWorldFlood watches piston extension and retraction events, detects suspicious waterlogged block movement, and cancels the piston action before it can cause large-scale flooding.
Features
- Prevents piston-based water duplication and flooding exploits
- Detects movement of waterlogged blocks in piston machines
- Optional aggressive mode that blocks any piston movement involving waterlogged blocks
- Runtime commands for reload, enable, disable, status, and debug
- Simple and lightweight
Detection Modes
Movement Tracking
Tracks the net movement of waterlogged blocks over time. Back-and-forth motion cancels itself out, while repeated movement in one direction is blocked once it reaches the configured threshold.
This is the recommended mode for most servers.
Waterlogged Blocks
Cancels any sticky piston movement that includes a waterlogged block.
This mode is stricter and may cause more false positives, but can be useful if you need maximum protection.
Commands
/noworldflood status/noworldflood reload/noworldflood enable/noworldflood disable/noworldflood debug
Alias: /nwf
Permission: noworldflood.admin
Why Use It?
If your server allows redstone machines, flying machines, or technical builds, NoWorldFlood gives you a targeted way to prevent waterlogged-block flooding exploits without disabling sticky pistons or flying machines entirely.
