UnstableSMPDeathSound is a Paper plugin built for high-stakes SMP servers. It adds a configurable death sound, optional death punishments, nearby-only system messages, chat control, and an immortality system for special players.

It is designed for servers that want stronger death feedback without requiring any client-side mods.

Features

  • Play a custom sound whenever a player dies
  • Use modern sound keys like ENTITY.WITHER.SPAWN
  • Keep compatibility with legacy sound names like ENTITY_WITHER_SPAWN
  • Limit death sound playback to nearby players only
  • Restrict join, quit, and death messages to nearby players
  • Disable chat entirely or switch it to proximity chat
  • Kick or ban players on death
  • Mark players as immortal so lethal damage is prevented
  • Reload the plugin config without restarting the server

Installation
