Entity Data
Captured entities are stored using Bukkit's native entity snapshot support where available.
This allows supported entity state to be restored when the captured spawn egg is used again.
Depending on the entity type, this may include data such as:
- Custom names
- Villager profession
- Villager trades
- Villager experience
- Tamed state
- Age
- Sheared state
- Other supported entity properties
Legacy captured eggs from EggEmAll2 are still supported where their stored entity data can be parsed by the current server version.
Configuration
EggEmAll Reloaded offers extensive configuration options for capture behavior.
You can control:
- Capture chance
- What happens when a capture fails
- Which entities may be captured
- Which worlds allow capturing
- Whether baby entities can be captured
- Whether tamed entities can be captured
- Whether named entities can be captured
- Whether sheared entities can be captured
- Whether permissions are required
- Spawn egg lore
- Messages
- Particles
- Optional integrations
Commands
Main command:
/eggemall
Available subcommands include:
/eggemall menu/eggemall reload/eggemall migrate
Permissions can be used to control access to commands and mob-specific capture categories.
PlaceholderAPI
PlaceholderAPI is optional.
When installed, EggEmAll Reloaded provides its own placeholders and can also parse PlaceholderAPI placeholders inside supported messages and spawn egg lore.
The existing eggemall namespace is retained for compatibility.
Stacker Support
EggEmAll Reloaded includes optional integrations for:
- RoseStacker
- UltimateStacker
When capturing an entity from a supported stack, only the captured entity is removed from that stack.
Compatibility
EggEmAll Reloaded supports both Paper and Spigot.
The current release has been tested on:
- Paper 1.21.7
- Paper 26.2
- Spigot 1.21.7
- Spigot 26.2
The plugin is compiled to Java 17 bytecode.
Your server still needs to use the Java version required by the Minecraft, Paper, or Spigot version you are running.
Migration from EggEmAll2
EggEmAll Reloaded is designed to make upgrading from EggEmAll2 as straightforward as possible.
The plugin uses its own data directory:
plugins/EggEmAllReloaded
When migrating, it can detect the existing EggEmAll2 configuration from:
plugins/EggEmAll2/settings.yml
The migration process:
- Creates a backup of the current EggEmAll Reloaded settings
- Imports existing EggEmAll2 configuration
- Reloads the imported settings
- Updates the default plugin prefix
- Preserves custom prefixes
- Leaves the original EggEmAll2 directory untouched
- Prevents the migration from being performed repeatedly
Existing captured eggs remain supported where their stored entity data is compatible with the current server version.
