Connected ore veins for new chunks: ready-made configs, vanilla ore switches, prospecting rod, regrowing veins.
Works on its own. Vystorm Core (free) is optional – the shared base of all Vystorm plugins. With it you get regrowing veins, English/German texts per player and the update check. Just drop one extra jar into plugins/, no setup.

Real ore veins instead of scattered blobs. Vystorm Veins generates configurable, connected ore deposits in new chunks of the worlds you choose. Pick one of three ready-made configs, decide per ore family whether vanilla ores stay, find ore with a prospecting rod and optionally let mined veins grow back.

Features
- Configurable vein rules. Each rule sets an ore, an optional deep ore for Y below 0, allowed host blocks, optional biomes, a Y range, attempts per chunk, maximum vein size and chance. Up to 32 rules; iron, coal, copper and diamond are included.
- Prospecting rod. Sneak + right-click with an amethyst shard to scan a 10-block radius. Chat lists the nearest ores with distance, compass direction and height, a coloured particle trail points to the nearest one and an amethyst chime rises in pitch the closer it is. Hide valuable ores from the rod with
prospecting.hidden-ores(for example diamond and ancient debris), so it is no X-ray. - Preview and apply per chunk.
/vveins previewcalculates the changes for the chunk you stand in without touching it;/vveins applyexecutes that preview within 30 seconds;/vveins canceldiscards it. - Reproducible generation. Runs as a Paper BlockPopulator in selected worlds only (default:
world).

Your world, your veins
- Three ready-to-use configs.
rare-large(rarer, bigger veins),frequent-small(more, smaller veins) andmixed(balanced; the default). Copy one toconfig.yml, set your world names,/vveins reload. - Replace vanilla ores per family.
replace_naturalswitches let you replace vanilla coal, iron, copper, gold, redstone, lapis, diamond, emerald, nether gold, nether quartz or ancient debris with stone, deepslate or netherrack, each independently. Your own veins are calculated before replacement, so toggling a switch never changes where they are placed. - Clear reloads. An invalid config is rejected with the reason shown in chat, and the previous settings stay active.

Regrowing veins (optional, needs Vystorm Core)
- Enable with
regrowth.enabled: true. Off by default. - One ore per vein grows back every 60 seconds (configurable 1 to 86,400 s) at a mined original position.
- Leave at least 10 % of the original vein standing, or it runs dry permanently.
- At 80 % mined, the miner hears a short note-block warning and gets a message with the remaining and minimum ore count (once per vein; sound and message can be disabled separately).
- Regrowth only replaces air, never buildings, liquids, players or entities. Player placements and pistons lock positions; protection plugins can cancel the normal
BlockSpreadEvent. - Per-ore overrides: for example, let only iron regrow while the global default stays off.

Good to know
- Only new chunks are generated, plus the single chunk confirmed with
/vveins apply. There is no retrofit run for all saved chunks. - Replacing vanilla ores during apply can also remove player-placed vanilla ore blocks in that chunk; the preview shows the count first.
- Folia is not supported.
Requirements
- Paper or Purpur 1.21.8 to 26.2, Java 25
- Optional: Vystorm Core (free), 0.26.4 or newer, for regrowing veins and per-player languages
