Gods by wmods: a player writes [GOD] and Zeus on a sign over a chest, the sign turns gold and the emerald boundary of the sacred land rises

> *Somewhere on your server a god is waiting for a name on a sign. Give it one, and it will never stop asking.*

Paper & Purpur 26.2-3 Free, English and Italian

Gods lets the operator create **gods** and the players found their **churches**. A chest and a sign make an altar, emeralds mark the sacred land around it, and from then on the god speaks in chat, weighs your offerings, hands out **missions**, grants **miracles** and **punishes**. Factions, wars, crusades and `[KEY]` locks complete the game. | | | | |---|---|---| | A chest and a sign: [GOD] on the first line, Zeus on the second, and the sign turns gold

| ## Better with the wmods family Gods works on its own. Add the plugins below and they talk to each other: | | With | What you get | |:---:|---|---| |

| **Backrooms + Siege** | **Implore your god:** fallen into the Limbo? Your god sets a penance, and when it is done you are out. | |

| **Siege** | **A god that saves you:** while you lie downed, your god can still raise you, not only your teammates. | |

| **MMS** | **Safe ground:** under sacred lands and faction homes with a lit hearth there is no darkness, stale air or Buried. | |

| **Magic** | **Chests that are yours:** Magic reads the locks, cults and factions of Gods to know whose chest it is. | ## What a god asks Missions come on a timer and land on the side board. Some you can do alone, some need the whole cult online. Dangerous ones give five minutes to arm up first, and armour is checked so nobody cheats. | Mission | Who | What the god wants | |---|---|---| | **Bring** | Alone | A number of items, laid on the altar. | | **Cook** | Alone | A number of dishes, cooked by you. | | **Pilgrimage** | Alone | Find the sacred coffer, hundreds of blocks away. | | **Airborne** | Alone | Reach a far point without touching dirt or stone. | | **Build** | Alone | Raise the work drawn in the book, where the map marks the X. | | **Defend the altar** | The cult | Waves of shadows come out of portals around the sacred land: stop them before they reach it. | | **The Purge** | The cult | A family laughs at your god. Beat its defenders, then the house must fall. | | **The Hydra** | The cult | Kill it in its lair. Burn every stump with flint and steel, or two heads grow back. | | **The Hunt** | The cult | The god wants the head of someone outside the cult, and for a while PvP is on between you. | > *Ten more missions are waiting. Your god will tell you when it is time.* ## Found an altar

A player places a chest and a sign, the sign turns gold and a ring of sacred land lights up

A chest and a sign: `[GOD]` on the first line, the god's name on the second. If the god accepts you, the sign turns gold, you become founder and Priest of its cult, and sacred land is born around the altar. ## A god that asks

Zeus gives the Purge mission: the bossbar counts the defenders and the family raises the alarm

Your god speaks in chat with its own voice and hands out missions: bring, cook, hunt, defend the altar, or purge a family that laughs at it. Every mission has its timer on the side board, and the dangerous ones give you time to arm up first. ## And rewards. Or punishes.

The house burns: mission complete

Get the job done and the god pays: faith, experience, items. Ignore it, and it remembers. Every punishment has a cap in the config, and the god never kills you only because you were away. ## A whole game inside the game - **A church you build.** Founder, Pope and cardinals: promotions, votes, excommunication, moving the altar. Even marriage, inside the cult. - **A god with moods.** Offerings are weighed against what the god wants today. Ingots, gems and cooked food please it; dirt and seeds insult it. - **Graces and miracles.** Spend your faith on favours that give purpose, not free power. - **Factions and wars.** A faction lives around a hearth of burning wood that protects its home: wars, truces, alliances. Churches can go on crusade. - **Locks.** A `[KEY]` sign closes chests, barrels, doors and gates. Trust a player, a faction, a cult or every member above a rank. - **The Book of the God.** Rules and commands in game, clickable: 139 pages, in English and Italian. ## Around the altar Screenshots from our test server, with the plugin as it ships. | | | | |---|---|---| | A fresh altar to Zeus, its sign gold and blue
