A modern continuation of Modifyworld for Paper servers, with fine-grained permission control over player actions.
Beta update — 2.0.0-BETA.5
Changes
- Fix implicit OP permission grants: with
op-bypass: false, OP status alone no longer grants normal Modifyworld action permissions. - Add
/modifyworld check [player] <permission>with colored results and explanations. - Add
modifyworld.command.checkfor diagnostic command access. - Expand documentation with command help and a four-rank, two-world LuckPerms example.
- Update the pinned Paper API to
26.2.build.130-stable.
Requirements and status
- Paper 26.2 and Java 25.
- LuckPerms recommended.
- 179 automated tests pass; manual server testing is ongoing.
- Newer Paper versions have not been verified.
- Spigot and Folia are not supported targets.
Update notes
Stop the server, back up your worlds, configuration and permissions, replace the existing Modifyworld JAR, and restart.
With op-bypass: false, OPs need assigned or inherited Modifyworld permissions.
Use op-bypass: true only if OPs should bypass all Modifyworld permission checks,
including explicit denials. WorldGuard protection remains unaffected.
Existing configuration and language files are preserved, with backups during configuration migration. Legacy numeric permissions must be converted separately.
See the project overview and GitHub README for features, configuration, permission examples and known limitations.
