2.0.0 Pre-release / Beta — intended for testing before production use.

Changes

• Add /mw as a shortcut for /modifyworld, with the same arguments and permissions.
• Add command-alias-mw: true to config.yml; set it to false and restart to disable the shortcut.
• Resolve null-safety, deprecated API and unused-import warnings in production code and tests.
• Add an optional update check at startup, enabled by default with check-for-updates: true. Update notifications link to Hangar; no automatic downloads or installation.

Requirements and status

• Paper 26.2 and Java 25; LuckPerms recommended.
• Beta verification: 322 tests passed, with no failures, errors or skipped tests.
• Automated tests do not replace live-server validation of this beta.
• Newer Paper versions have not been verified. Spigot and Folia are not supported targets.

Update notes

Stop the server, back up your configuration and permissions, replace the existing Modifyworld JAR, and restart. If the alias setting is missing, /mw is enabled; add command-alias-mw: false manually to disable it. /modifyworld remains available. Disabling this alias preserves another plugin's /mw command.

Permission behavior is unchanged. Existing BETA.6 migrations do not repeat; version-only configuration updates preserve other text and create no backup.
