PJs-Enchants

This is a custom enchantments plugin that brings 71 custom enchantments to your game, designed to be balanced with vanilla Minecraft survival and PVP/PVE.

This includes:

• 20 melee weapon enchants (sword, axe, spear)
• 27 armor enchants
• 10 bow enchants
• 6 elytra enchants
• 4 horse armor enchants
• 6 wolf armor enchants
• 4 tool enchants

*Some enchantments are available on both weapons and armor, where they will have different effects

✅⚒️ Anvil Compatibility ⚒️

Items with custom enchantments can freely be combined in anvils with other tools as normal. Just like with regular enchantments, combining two items with the same level custom enchantment can upgrade its level.

✅📖 Enchanting Table Compatibility 📖

Custom enchantments can be obtained through the vanilla enchanting table with natural level scaling.

✅🐶 Pet Safe 🐶

There are a lot of enchantments that cause area effects or indirect damage. PJ's Enchants intentionally prevents pets, villagers, and other friendly mobs from being caught in the crossfire.

✅ PJ's Mechanics Compatibility

This plugin interacts well with my other plugin, PJ's Mechanics:

• If using a hoe with Forging, potatoes and wheat dropped from the smart harvesting mechanic will become baked potatoes and bread.
• The blindness mechanic from PJ's Mechanics will make Darkness more useful in PvE by truly blinding hostile mobs

Some Notable Enchantments:

• Wings - An enchantment that swaps your chestplate with an Elytra. Double-jump to activate, land to deactivate. All compatible Elytra enchantments on the chestplate will be transfered over to the Elytra during flight.

• Waverider - Sprint across the seas with ease.

• Forging - Automatically smelts block drops, turning things like iron ore to iron ingots using a pickaxe or sand to glass using a shovel.

• Ricochet - Arrows will bounce from enemy to enemy.

• **Grappling ** - Launch yourself across tough terrain or drag fleeing enemies back into the fight.

• Unstable - A chestplate enchantment that has a chance to create defensive explosions when hit. The lower your health, the greater the chance of explosions!

• Defuse - With this on a melee weapon, one hit will prevent a creeper from ever being able to explode! It'll make fighting a player with Unstable more manageable, too.

• Breeze - Sling wind charges at foes or use them to boost yourself into the air.

• Werewolf - This wolf armor enchant will turn your pup into a killing machine when the sun goes down.

🔭 Future Development 🔭

I intend to continue adding new enchantments to this plugin as new ideas come to me, especially some spear-exclusive enchantments. I would like to create a premium version of this plugin in the future that allows admin configuration such as toggling enchantments, renaming enchantments, reclassifying enchantment tiers, and modifying effects for server owners who want to create their own unique experience for their players. I will never paywall an enchantment.

✍️ Note From the Author ✍️

I started this plugin some time in 2021. I was mostly inspired by the custom enchantments in CosmicPVP, a huge factions server I used to play on as a kid. I had really wanted to have free reign of such cool enchantments, so I started my own project. My goal was for the custom enchantments to meld well with an otherwise vanilla SMP server, meaning anvil and enchanting table compatibility was very important. Over the course of development, I had the opportunity to use my plugin on an active SMP server, which helped me balance my additions and iron out any bugs.

I've had a lot of fun both developing and playing with this plugin myself. I hope you have fun with it, too!
