Slimefun Legacy is a community-maintained continuation of Slimefun 4, updated for modern Paper servers while preserving the classic Slimefun experience, existing worlds, and addon ecosystem.

Slimefun transforms a normal Minecraft server into a much deeper progression experience with machines, electricity, automation, Cargo networks, reactors, custom tools, armor, weapons, backpacks, magic, technology, resources, and hundreds of new items — all without requiring players to install a client mod.

The goal of Slimefun Legacy is simple:

Keep classic Slimefun alive, recognizable, stable, and usable on modern Minecraft servers.

A separate Slimefun translation plugin is not required for the standard English experience.

🔔 Safe Update Notifications

Modern Slimefun Legacy releases include an update notification system using official Slimefun Legacy GitHub Releases.

The updater:

• Checks for published releases asynchronously
• Can notify server administrators about new versions
• Ignores ordinary commits and development builds
• Does not automatically overwrite your plugin
• Does not silently install updates

Server owners remain in control of when their server is upgraded.

The project focuses on maintaining the original identity and gameplay of Slimefun while performing the compatibility, stability, recovery, and modernization work necessary to keep it running on modern Paper servers.

Slimefun Legacy is an unofficial downstream continuation of Slimefun 4. It is not an official release of the original Slimefun project, Slimefun United, or the SlimefunGuguProject, and is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft.
