4.1.69

Slimefun Legacy 4.1.69

This maintenance release combines guarded backpack recovery, a resumable Resource Pack Doctor workflow, and a generic virtual Cargo transport API used by maintained Networks storage. It uses the published 4.1.68 source, 54937520cb8c0f7cd63f96365085e2a15981ce9f, as its release-blocking compatibility baseline. Backpack quarantine recovery

A removed datapack, mod or plugin can leave historical ItemStacks containing registry-backed data that the current server no longer recognizes. Minecraft then refuses to deserialize the affected item before Slimefun can construct the backpack inventory. Legacy already protects these cases with an incomplete-load hold so a failed read cannot be saved back as an empty or partial backpack.

4.1.69 adds an explicit operator recovery lane for cases where restoring the missing dependency is impossible:

/sf doctor storage backpacks scan /sf doctor storage backpacks quarantine

The scan is read-only. It inspects one stored backpack without publishing a partial inventory, reports only unreadable rows, and produces a SHA-256 fingerprint covering the complete stored backpack state plus the exact unreadable candidate set.

Quarantine is deliberately destructive and requires the exact fresh fingerprint. It is allowed only while the backpack remains under a failed-load hold, is not cached/live, and has no pending backpack save chain. The mutation owns the existing exclusive backpack-maintenance gate so a normal cache-miss load cannot race the recovery operation.

Before deleting anything, Legacy writes the exact raw payload of every targeted unreadable row to a ZIP under:

data-storage/Slimefun/recovery/backpacks/

If the archive cannot be created, no row is deleted. Successful quarantine removes only the unreadable inventory rows. The backpack profile, UUID, owner, name, size and healthy stored rows are preserved.

The incomplete-load hold is intentionally retained after quarantine. A normal complete backpack load must succeed before Legacy releases that hold. If another unreadable row becomes visible after the first recovery pass, the owner must run a new scan and use its new fingerprint. Resource Pack Doctor

4.1.69 adds an explicit, resumable install/uninstall workflow for Slimefun Legacy's official ID-based resource pack:

/sf doctor resource-pack status /sf doctor resource-pack install scan /sf doctor resource-pack install confirm /sf doctor resource-pack uninstall scan /sf doctor resource-pack uninstall confirm /sf doctor resource-pack resume

The scan paths are read-only. Confirmation records authorization, configuration snapshots and before-image journals before eligible stored item metadata is changed. Missing item-model mappings remain zero by default and Legacy pack delivery remains opt-in. Install removes only exact known stale Legacy model metadata, while custom mappings, unrelated model components, item IDs, charge, backpack identity, quantities, names and lore are preserved. Uninstall removes only Legacy-owned delivery/mapping state and matching Legacy metadata.

The migration covers reachable online inventories, loaded containers and drops, all persisted backpack profiles, and guarded persisted Slimefun block/universal inventory rows. Offline players and unloaded vanilla containers are deferred until normal join/load. Folia ownership rules and active gameplay-owned backpacks are respected rather than force-mutated. Existing external resource-pack ownership, including ItemsAdder-style setups, remains authoritative. Virtual Cargo storage transport

The Cargo subsystem now supports virtual storage that is not represented by physical menu slots. BlockMenuPreset exposes guarded insert, withdraw and restore hooks; Cargo preserves its existing filters, events, rollback, overflow and deletion behavior while delegating storage mutations to the virtual implementation.

This is the core half of the maintained Networks Cargo Storage fix. Network Cargo Storage Units can remain database-backed virtual drawers with zero normal transport slots instead of exposing GUI display items as fake storage. Undelivered virtual withdrawals are restored transactionally, and stale virtual-source sentinels cannot fall through to Bukkit inventory slot access.

Existing physical Slimefun menus and vanilla Cargo inventories retain their established paths. The API is generic and contains no Networks-specific dependency. Storage safety

This release does not add an automatic force-clear path. /sf doctor repair confirm remains presentation repair and does not bypass incomplete-inventory protection. Generic storage-integrity repair remains separate from backpack quarantine.

No item or research IDs, database table schemas, stored field names or types, backpack identities, inventory codecs, recipes, capacities, machine rates, Cargo priorities, energy behavior or migration defaults are changed by this feature. Existing healthy backpacks continue through the normal load/save path. Addon bundle

The matching SF_Addons_1.21.11-26.3.zip uses canonical bundle revision 112 with 45 maintained addons. Revision 112 carries forward MagicExpansion 1.1.9 and Networks 1.0.48, and updates JustEnoughGuide to 2.1.71 so RTS search chat cancellation stays asynchronous and no deprecated synchronous chat listener is registered. The other pinned addon selections remain governed by the repository's exact-source release matrix.

Every addon source selection must pass the 4.1.69 candidate core's current build/linkage gates before publication. The canonical manifest records the exact core and addon source commits. Verification

The backpack recovery change adds regressions for unreadable-row discovery, whole-backpack fingerprint invalidation, archive-before-delete ordering, targeted deletion, retention of healthy rows and the failed-load hold, refusal without an existing hold, and exclusion of cached/live recovery races.

Before release publication, the combined 4.1.69 source passed the full core build/tests, Runtime Gameplay Correctness (including virtual Cargo conservation/rollback invariants), Public API compatibility, Paper/Purpur 1.21.11 compatibility, Paper 26.2 runtime, Paper 26.3 preflight, Purpur/Folia/Leaf 26.2 smoke coverage, proxy runtime smoke, Slimefun compatibility, Required Addon Runtime, the six-runtime Resource Pack Doctor migration matrix, the canonical maintained addon bundle, and full-stack Paper 1.21.11/26.2/26.3 two-boot checks. The versioned release pipeline independently reruns exact-source addon-bundle and reproducibility gates.

Minecraft 1.21.11 remains the minimum runtime version. Java 21 remains the plugin bytecode floor, Java 25 is used for the current 26.x server line, and Paper 26.3 remains the primary target. Paper and Purpur are prioritized; Folia remains experimental beyond the explicitly tested startup and controlled fixtures. Installation

Stop the server normally and keep a complete backup of worlds, player data, Slimefun data and databases before replacing the core. Use a full restart, never /reload.

For an unreadable backpack, first inspect:

/sf doctor storage recovery /sf doctor storage backpacks scan

Restoring the missing dependency remains preferred whenever possible. Use quarantine only when that is impossible and losing the unreadable item row is an accepted recovery choice. For any Addon: https://github.com/wickidcow/Slimefun-Legacy/releases/download/v4.1.69/SF_Addons_1.21.11-26.3.zip
