Slimefun4 continued for modern Paper servers, preserving classic gameplay, machines, items, and addon support.
Slimefun Legacy 4.1.74 — Energy Reliability & Safer Networks
Official releases are available only through GitHub Releases. This document records the tested 4.1.74 source and coordinated r135 addon selection. A green pull-request or Actions artifact is not a published release. The previous stable 4.1.73 and its r134 bundle remain available for backup and rollback. Core: energy-network presentation reliability
EnergyNet PR #377 corrected a timer-phase bug that could prevent powered connector/redstone presentation state from self-healing when a regulator ticked at a fixed cadence. Per-network deadlines now force periodic revalidation without requiring an exact modulo world tick.
Dirty topology and changed power states still refresh immediately. This does not change actual generation, consumption, charge storage, power routing, item/research IDs, recipes, or stored-world serialization.
Previous-stable required regression baseline: the exact published 4.1.73 source commit 6c3cd1e561f1231701d6de3256a8e808243c1370. The historical 4.1.15 saved-item floor remains advisory.
Coordinated 45-addon r135 bundle
PR #380 validated and merged the exact-source r135 selection with two version changes compared with the previous r134 roster: Addon Previous 4.1.73/r134 Updated 4.1.74/r135 Maintained source Networks 1.0.53 1.0.54 c24064cbeafe4f112c7d46bf3de5617fa151d88d FluffyMachines 26.2.15 26.2.16 3d5286877e2307b4b9bc48be886d14d75e6889c6
The other 43 addon sources remain identical to r134. This retains Magic Expansion 1.1.11 (privacy-safe rare fishing announcements), Lucky Blocks 1.0.5 (admin give command), Supreme 1.0.20 (Soulbound/armor protection), FNAmplifications 4.2.8, and all other maintained members without replacing their saved data or IDs.
Networks 1.0.54: refuses to overwrite menu/inventory/cursor source items changed after an offered network deposit; attempts compensation and records any shortfall for operator investigation. Rejects zero/negative Fluffy Barrel withdrawal quantities and preserves custom item metadata. This reduces known duping/loss risks but is not a guarantee of crash-atomic transactions across arbitrary external addons.
FluffyMachines 26.2.16: limits only cosmetic barrel ItemDisplay state inspection to a per-block 20-world-tick deadline, with expired empty-state cleanup and external-icon self-healing. Actual item insertion, extraction, output refill, persistent quantities, backpack identity and energy behavior still run on their original machine tickers. A measured TPS improvement is not claimed without comparable server profiling. Actual validation evidence
At candidate head 53962a3820a5bea7d49f77514fab2c87545f752c, all 13 pull-request workflows passed.
The 45-addon bundle completed 48/48 successful jobs, including every independently pinned addon, core build and bundle archive. DankTech2's unchanged WildStackerAPI dependency encountered a truncated remote download in an earlier attempt; the bounded network retry resolved it without relaxing compilation or omitting an addon.
The real full-stack runtime suite passed 7/7 jobs, including two clean boots each on Paper 1.21.11, Paper 26.2, Paper 26.3 and experimental Purpur 26.3.
A non-skipped disposable Paper 26.3 native test exercised registered Fluffy Barrel and Networks adapter code. It preserved rich custom PDC metadata and counts with 17+9 items inserted and 12+14 withdrawn, rejected wrong-owner and nonpositive requests, and completed with exit code 0.
Both addon source PRs independently passed their Java 21-compatible distribution and native platform checks. The 4.1.74 core source's reproducible release validation passed separately.
These tests cover specified code paths and disposable worlds. They do not certify every older player world, externally modified addon, region-thread Folia topology, or power-loss interleaving. Manual AlbionMC-scale /sf tick top measurements and backup-based rollback verification remain operator-side validation, not reasons to invent performance numbers. Server-owner upgrade checklist
Back up before changing anything: stop your server and copy worlds, plugins/Slimefun data, add-on folders, databases, player inventories, config files and the complete previous plugin set. Retain the working 4.1.73/r134 ZIP and individual JARs in a rollback directory.
Download only the official published Slimefun-Legacy4.1.74.jar and matching SF_Addons_1.21.11-26.3.zip after the controlled 4.1.74 release is available. Do not mix an r135 ZIP with an older core just because the filenames look familiar.
Remove/replace old Slimefun core, Networks and FluffyMachines JARs in the server plugins directory—never load two versions of the same plugin. Install only the other addons you actually use; do not install all 45 unnecessarily.
Confirm Paper/Purpur 1.21.11+ compatibility and the matching Java runtime: Minecraft 1.21.11 uses Java 21; 26.2/26.3 need Java 25. The JARs target Java 21 bytecode for the supported baseline.
Start normally (never /reload). Inspect console startup for NoClassDefFoundError, NoSuchMethodError, and failed plugin enables. Run /sf versions, /sf doctor status, /sf doctor compatibility, and /sf doctor runtime.
Check existing inventories, old custom/PDC items, backpacks, Quantum Storage, Fluffy Barrels and Networks item-grid totals. Verify quantities after a clean shutdown/restart before admitting production players.
For performance comparisons, sample /sf tick top and spark on a comparable world copy with matched loaded chunks, player population and machine count. Avoid inferring better TPS from a source optimization alone.
Rollback: shut down, restore the complete pre-upgrade backup (not just the previous core JAR), reinstall the matching 4.1.73/r134 set, then start cleanly. Never reopen a newer-written live database under older plugin code without restoring its known-good snapshot. Adoption metrics and support
Slimefun Legacy uses bStats plugin ID 32960, unchanged across 4.1.71–4.1.74 development. The public dashboard reports aggregated participating servers—not uniquely identified installs. Counts can vary with online uptime, telemetry disabled by operators, blocked HTTP submissions and reporting windows; a lower value alone does not prove a specific number of uninstallations. If a plugin fails to load or stops functioning, collect your exact Minecraft/Paper/Java version, Slimefun /sf versions result, full startup exception and steps to reproduce, then open a GitHub issue with identifying/private data redacted. Release control
Release publication requires explicit approval. Independently published Networks 1.0.54 and FluffyMachines 26.2.16 Git tags must match the r135 source locks. The final 4.1.74 master commit must pass exact-source 45-addon, two-boot, public API, previous-stable and reproducible checks. The separately controlled reproducible-release workflow then publishes exactly three assets: the 4.1.74 core JAR, the canonical 45-addon ZIP and the verified optional lightweight resource pack. Do not overwrite or alter the previous 4.1.73/r134 release. Addon bundle refresh — revision 136
The addon ZIP for Slimefun Legacy 4.1.74 is updated to r136, with exactly two replacements among 45 maintained addons: Addon Previous r135 r136 Networks 1.0.54 1.0.55 MagicExpansion 1.1.11 1.1.12
The other 43 JARs are byte-for-byte unchanged. The Slimefun-Legacy4.1.74.jar core and SlimefunLegacyRP.zip resource pack are unchanged. Existing bundle exclusions, the Minecraft 1.21.11 minimum, item IDs, stored data and configuration remain unchanged.
Networks 1.0.55 prevents a directional line transfer from depositing items back into the same physical storage block supplying them. It retains source-identity verification and compensation for other inventory changes. MagicExpansion 1.1.12 adds the OP-only /magicexpansion blackmarket status command and correctly reports an effective lock when the cycle marker has changed. This is read-only diagnostics: it does not reset receipts, reroll offers, or repair/unlock an existing Black Market file mismatch. Verification and provenance
The selected source trees passed the full 45-addon build (run 38598879430), cross-version full-stack checks (run 38598879446), and a non-skipped Paper 26.3 Networks/Fluffy conservation probe. The independent addon release builds are checked again before this archive is published.
The source manifest retains its exact CI-tested source locks. The official release merge commits are checked to have identical Git trees, and both identities are recorded in the release validation report and COMPATIBILITY.txt:
Networks tested source bcdef34d362dc74aa1aab23c8961a629daa79950; release merge 56b447a535502c0f82bc94e0d734e8d4aad85f9f.
MagicExpansion tested source 144d973a014ce943e4e9173ea17f7bf31ed00fa3; release merge 7a33360bf19a1a82e7874025f6e8f196938b3c7b.
Publication uses the exact released r135 input SHA-256 dd0f8e3dc952acbd2dcf78f1bc85a5c1592b6ef2adf0d0c9af88fb45a40078f1. It verifies official addon tags, downloaded JAR digests, Java 21 bytecode, descriptor versions, every ZIP checksum, deterministic reconstruction, and all 43 unchanged JAR byte streams. A live-release identity check prevents knowingly overwriting a newer bundle or changing core/RP assets. The old ZIP is retained until the replacement's public download verifies; a rollback copy and the validation report are retained in Actions artifacts. Installation
Stop the server, back up worlds and plugin data, replace the older Networks and MagicExpansion JARs rather than loading duplicates, and start normally. Do not use /reload. Keep plugins/magicexpansion/black_market/ and its player receipts intact. Inspect the logged directional-line inventories and use /magicexpansion blackmarket status for the existing market issue.
No live Albion files were modified during release. Automated tests cover the stated disposable-server cases, not every historical world, third-party storage integration, or power-loss scenario; this release is not a claim of universal duplication prevention. Continue normal backup-based validation before deploying to production.
