Points
Version V0.1.1 | Paper 26.2 | Standalone economy system, no dependencies
Overview
Points is a standalone points (economy) system plugin for Minecraft servers. It gives players a points currency to store, view and manage:
- Fully independent - no external plugin dependencies, can be deployed on its own
- Decimal points supported - values like 0.5 or 520.123, precise to 3 decimal places
- Player point data persisted in the plugin's own data file, auto-saved, surviving server restarts
- Ready-to-use player GUI, leaderboard and admin commands
- Built-in placeholder API and Java API, so other plugins can read player points
Features
- Point accounts: an account is created/updated automatically when a player joins (can be disabled in config)
- Player GUI: /points gui opens a 3x9 chest interface, with the player's head and current points in the center
- Leaderboard: /points list shows all players sorted by points (highest first), with configurable page size
- Point management: add / remove / set commands, with friendly messages when balance is insufficient; decimal points (e.g. 0.5, 520.123) are supported with 3 decimal places
- Placeholder API: %points_player% (player name), %points_access% (points value). Placeholders in chat messages are replaced automatically
- Fully customizable: all messages, colors and GUI content can be configured in config.yml

API
Placeholders: %points_player% (player name), %points_access% (points value)
Java API:
PointsPlugin points = PointsPlugin.getInstance(); String text = points.replacePlaceholders(player, "Hello %points_player%, you have %points_access% points"); // Result: Hello PactLight, you have 100 points
Use getPlaceholderService() / getPointsManager() to query individual players.
Integrations
- Can serve as a general economy backend, letting other plugins read/modify player points
- For example, the Credits system of the Store shop plugin is fully modeled on Points
Installation
- Place Points-V0.1.1.jar into your server's plugins/ folder.
- Start the server. On first start, the plugin creates config.yml (configuration) and points.yml (data) under plugins/points/.
- You are done when the console shows "Points economy plugin V0.1.1 enabled".
Note: The data file is read and written automatically by the plugin - do not edit it manually. Changes to config.yml require a server restart.
