High-Performance Land Protection & Economy Ecosystem. [Folia Native]

Report AegisGuard?

💰 The Land Economy

In AegisGuard, land is more than something you claim once and forget. It can be expanded, upgraded, traded, rented, maintained, and tied into your server's economy flow.

💱 Flexible Currency Support

AegisGuard is economy-flexible.

Depending on how your server owner has configured it, land-related systems can use different payment types. Check /ag menu and the Codex for the setup your server is using.

Supported currency types include:

  • Vault for standard server money
  • ClaimBlocks for land-based progression servers
  • XP for raw experience costs
  • Levels for Minecraft XP level costs
  • Items for physical-item economies like Diamonds, Emeralds, or Gold

This allows different servers to shape land progression in very different ways without changing the core plugin experience.

📈 Claiming, Growth, and Progression Costs

The land economy is not just about buying a plot once. Depending on configuration, servers can attach costs to:

  • claiming new land
  • resizing existing plots
  • upgrading through Plot Ascension
  • biome changes
  • travel-related conveniences
  • other progression systems tied to your territory

Some servers lean toward a classic money economy, while others build their progression around ClaimBlocks, XP, or item-based advancement.

💠 ClaimBlocks Economy

ClaimBlocks remain a major part of AegisGuard's progression economy in modern versions.

If enabled on your server, ClaimBlocks can be used for:

  • land growth and expansion
  • progression-based territory systems
  • playtime rewards
  • economy-style buy and sell flow

Many servers also enable the ClaimBlocks Exchange, which lets players buy or sell ClaimBlocks through a controlled economy system with configurable permissions, cooldowns, and anti-abuse limits.

📉 Upkeep

Some servers enable Upkeep to encourage active land ownership and reduce abandoned claims.

If upkeep is turned on by the server owner:

  • plots may require periodic payment
  • unpaid plots may trigger warnings or server-defined consequences
  • server owners can choose how strict the system is

Because upkeep behavior is configurable, the exact consequences depend on that server's setup. If you are unsure, check your server's rules or ask staff how unpaid claims are handled.

⚖️ The Auction House

AegisGuard includes support for auction-listed plots, allowing servers to recirculate land through a controlled market flow.

Players can use:

/ag auction

to browse plots that are currently listed for auction on servers where that system is active.

This can be useful for:

  • reclaiming inactive land into circulation
  • server-run land events
  • competitive land purchasing

Auction behavior may vary depending on server configuration and admin setup.

🤝 The Marketplace

Want to sell your land to another player? AegisGuard includes built-in plot market flow.

Basic sale flow:

  1. Stand in your plot.
  2. Run /ag sell <price>.
  3. Other players can browse listings through /ag market.
  4. If your server uses local plot commerce, players may also interact through Local Market features where available.

You can remove a listing with:

/ag unsell

This makes plot transfers safer and more structured than manual trading.

🏪 Local Market and TradeStalls

On supported plots, Local Market can act as a hub for plot-based commerce.

Depending on the server's setup, this may include:

  • rentable merchant areas
  • room and stall economies
  • built-in TradeStalls
  • compatibility with external market/shop integrations

TradeStalls are especially useful for servers that want protected, plot-based storefronts without relying entirely on third-party shop plugins.

🏗️ Subplot Renting and Zoning

AegisGuard also supports renting smaller areas inside a larger plot.

This is useful for:

  • apartments
  • inns
  • player shops
  • market booths
  • guild rooms

The modern flow is generally:

  1. Select an area inside your plot with the Aegis Scepter.
  2. Create a subplot using /ag subplot [name] or /ag subzone [name].
  3. Manage the area through the Zone Manager and zoning menus.
  4. If zoning rentals are enabled, that area can be listed and managed as a rentable section.

This allows one plot to become a much more active economic hub instead of remaining a single-owner-only space.

🧭 Final Notes

The land economy in AegisGuard v1.2.6.1 is designed to be flexible rather than one-size-fits-all.

Some servers will run a light economy with simple claiming costs. Others will use full progression with ClaimBlocks, upkeep, plot sales, auctions, Local Market systems, and rentable subplots.

If you ever are unsure how your server has configured these systems, check the Codex, use the relevant /ag menus, or ask your server staff for the local setup.
