The Player's Handbook
Welcome, Traveler. This guide will help you secure your land, manage your territory, and grow your claim using AegisGuard.
Claiming Land
- Run
/ag wandto receive the Aegis Scepter. - Right-click the first corner of the land you want.
- Left-click the opposite diagonal corner.
- Run
/ag claimto create your claim.
Notes
- Claim size, cost, and ClaimBlock requirements depend on your server's configuration.
- Some servers may consume the wand on claim, while others may let you keep it.
Managing Your Plot
Once your land is claimed, run /ag menu to open the main AegisGuard menu.
From there, you can manage:
- Flags for claim behavior
- Roles and trusted players
- Travel and plot home settings
- Plot identity such as name, description, welcome, and farewell text
- Growth systems like Plot Ascension and expansion tools where enabled
Plot Flags
Flags let you control how your claim behaves.
Depending on your server's settings, common flags can include:
- PvP control
- Mob spawning control
- Explosion protection
- Flight inside the claim
- Shop / market-related behavior
- Biome and cosmetic options
Some advanced flags may require progression, permissions, or server-specific configuration.
Trusting Players with Roles
Use the Roles menu to assign permissions to other players on your land.
Common role behavior includes:
- Member — build, break, and interact more freely
- Guest / Visitor-style access — limited interaction
- Co-Owner / staff-managed roles — stronger management access
Exact role names and permissions may vary depending on how your server is configured.
Zoning, Rooms, and Subplots
Want to make apartments, rentable rooms, shop stalls, or sub-areas inside your main claim?
Use the wand to select an area inside your plot, then create a subplot or subzone:
/ag subplot [name]
/ag subzone [name]
After creation, that area can appear in the Zone Manager and may be used for:
- rentals
- room systems
- subplot travel points
- market or stall setups
Available options depend on your server configuration.
Plot Ascension
Your land can grow over time.
Run /ag level to open the Plot Ascension menu.
There you can review:
- current plot bonuses
- future bonus previews
- progression requirements
- unlockable territory perks, depending on server settings
Some servers may tie progression to economy, ClaimBlocks, levels, or other configured systems.
ClaimBlocks
Many servers use ClaimBlocks as part of land growth and progression.
Depending on the server setup, you may be able to:
- buy ClaimBlocks
- sell ClaimBlocks
- earn ClaimBlocks through active playtime
- receive ClaimBlocks through progression systems
Useful commands include:
/ag blocks
/ag blocks buy <amount>
/ag blocks sell <amount>
/ag ledger
ClaimBlock exchange availability depends on server configuration and permissions.
Travel & Navigation
AegisGuard includes a travel system so players do not have to rely on raw coordinates.
Set Your Plot Home
Stand where you want visitors or yourself to land and run:
/ag setspawn
Return Home
Use:
/ag home
to teleport back to your plot's saved spawn location.
Visit Plots and Warps
Use:
/ag visit
to open the travel menu.
Depending on your access and the server setup, this can show:
- trusted plots
- owned plots
- public warps or server destinations
Plot Identity
You can make your territory feel more personal with:
/ag rename <name>
/ag setdesc <text>
/ag welcome <message>
/ag farewell <message>
These settings control how your claim appears in menus and what players see when entering or leaving.
Security & Moderation
If someone is causing trouble on your land, you have moderation tools available.
Common commands include:
/ag kick <player>
/ag ban <player>
/ag unban <player>
These let you remove unwanted visitors and control access to your claim.
Resizing & Expansion
Need more space?
Stand inside your plot and run:
/ag resize <direction> <amount>
Example:
/ag resize north 5
This expands the north edge of your claim.
Some servers may also use admin approval, queue systems, or other expansion rules through Frontier Expansion features.
Notifications
Use:
/ag notify
to manage personal notification settings where supported.
Depending on the server configuration, this may include greeting-style claim notifications and other personal alert preferences.
Final Advice
If a feature does not appear on your server, that usually means one of the following:
- it is disabled in the server's configuration
- it requires a permission node
- it depends on Vault or another optional integration
- it is controlled through a GUI rather than a direct command
If you are unsure, ask your server owner or staff which AegisGuard systems are enabled.
